Train Journey after 9 years

It's been 9 years since I travelled in train.Very hard to believe but true.Last week made my trip to mantralayam(in AP)in a tourist agency along with my parents.I stepped in to the Central Railway Station after 9 years to catch the Mumbai Express.Seeing the heavy rush in the station since it is a holiday time(Independance day holiday)& few more changes in the station, was happy to be there. My previous journey in train was an All India tour when i was studying 8th standard.

Once all the passengers(of the tourist agency) got into the train, there was some confusion regarding the allotment of berths in train. It was great fun looking at all the old ladies & their garrulous talks about the journey. The owner of the tourist agency is in another compartment who has all the tickets. The most funniest thing happened when TTR came.He demanded for the tickets but everyone kept mum & he was very patient to be silent for few seconds then shouted "Ticket keten enn moonchiyae partha enna artham?(What's there to stare at my face when i ask the ticket?)".Everyone bursted out in laughter including him.You can't resist laughing when you are among the old one's.

When we reached Mantralayam it was 12pm, so we went to the temple' annapoorna ashram. That building was donated by Naryana moorthy(Infosys Chairman)& Sudha Narayana moorthy. The interior of the building is very beautiful, clean & naturally the hall was bright with the help of sunlight. Then went to River Tungabadra, where the water level is raising because the dam is open.Around Mandralayam & it's near by places you can see thungabadra & lots of sunflowers in Andra Pradesh.

The next day made a visit to Ragavendra's temple, very beautiful & divine.Calmness is something you get in the temple. Then Hampi in karnataka is a tourist place which can't be left. But had suffered for some time due to bad roads towards hampi. One murmered that the area MLA has to taken through this road so that he realises how difficult to travel in it.But what's the use?

Going to different monuments built by the King krishnadeva Raya in this region is the most good experience in this visit.Half of the monuments are destroyed in the past. The city full of stones is the best word to describe Hampi. Many monuments build with three styles (HINDU,MUSLIM,JAIN).But don't know the reason why he built with these 3 architectures.Just had half a day time to visit Hampi which is not enough to see hampi.

The tour came to an end & reached the room at 2am & had to catch the Mumbai Express at 4.30am to chennai. It was Independance day,but spent whole day travelling to chennai. At about 1pm saw a national flag hoisted somewhere, but there's no buildings,no people around, just like a wasteland but happy to see the flag atleast there in this long journey. The journey was tiring but cherished good visit to Andra Pradesh & Karnataka.
